Subject: Re: QVT users: Mine seems to ignore QVTHOST.RC file
: The winsock version of qvtnet uses the HOSTS file with an environment variable to point at it.
: eg.
: set qvthosts_dir=c:\windows
I'm glad to see this lengthy thread on winqvtnet! It has helped me out a
lot! I have another question though!
When I call the nntp server, the program puts up the hourglass cursor and
says it's loading my news.rc file. The hdd spins and spins, pretty soon
it stops, the hourglass is frozen solid on the screen, and then my
computer reboots! I have a stand-alone pc, getting a slip line on a
dial-up, and can access nntp with another newsreader.
Any ideas? Thanks! (p.s. I can telnet and ftp. Haven't tried mail.)
